Daniel Dexter: Deeper Love – 12-INCH SINGLE

Daniel Dexter continues his long and fruitful relationship with Poker Flat by channeling the sound of classic Clivilles & Cole in Deeper Love, an early ’90s house bomb that will send shivers down your spine. Underpinned by a resounding synth riff and dancing counter-motif, Kaori Kaneko’s vocals provide the perfect foil, packing a powerful and soulful punch. Prolific Parisian Alexkid provides a radical reinterpretation on his remix: stripped down, muted and glitchy. Finally, Berlin’s Bay Area import Kevin Knapp intones the names of classic Hollywood starlets over the smooth groove of Heroine.
