Drake: Scorpion Vinyl 2LP

Get over here! Im one of only a few people at Lab HQ who tolerate Drake (I dont just tolerate him, I fuck with him!). Yeah,Drake’s huge, but I sorta feel like hes in the spot that Kanye occupied back around 2007 – remember Graduation vs. Curtis? – and Kanye is now in 50 Cents spot: still at the top, but losing his grasp on the people fast. And like Graduation, when Scorpion dropped over the summer, the question lighting up group chats wasnt do you like it, it was: which songs are your favorites. So heres mine: Nonstop, Im Upset, Elevate, Peak, Jaded, Finesse, Thats How You Feel, In My Feelings (dont lie – those few days before it got played out were sick), Dont Matter To Me (Michael!), After Dark (Static!), March 14th what can I say, Im just a *disc 2* type of dude(read: sad). Overall, not as good as NWTS orTake Care, but light years better than Views (or any of Kanyes latest 20 minute albums). And while these 25 tracks squeezed onto four sides of wax could have easily been a triple LP,this official 2LPsoundssurprisingly great… Honestly Im shocked they got this to market before zee Germanz and their lightning-fast bootlegs. Gatefold double vinyl pressing, recommended.
