Fouk: With Lasers – 12-INCH SINGLE

Fouk are back on Heist Recordings with their With Lasers EP. Their new taste for grit and the heavier side of funk is most evident on the opener F3000″, where a thunderous arpeggio is supported by distorted drums and lush synth stabs. “With Lasers” is a classic Fouk track, combining a lovely walking disco bassline and their signature drum programming with, well, lasers. “See You On The Other Side” carefully blends guitar licks, Rhodes-y chords, and vocal chops into a lovely groove. Swedish synth nerds Mount Liberation Unlimited ran with it and transformed it into a dreamy Pepe Bradock-goes-Balearic track.”
