Mathias Kaden: Polyphonic – 12-INCH SINGLE

Mathias Kaden presents his EP, Polyphonic. The title track sits somewhere between Paperclip People and Basement Jaxx. It’s sterling acid house hook lays down the foundations while a dizzying array of FX and sonic chem-trails swoop, bend and flare above the groove like fireworks. NoKick”, as the name suggests, doesn’t have a kick drum, just a swinging break with a classic 2 Bad Mice-style old-school bassline and even more laser-blazing FX trickery that rifles the spectrum with head-turning, twisted dexterity. Complete with crowd cheers and carnival whoops and hollers, this is the ultimate DJ tool.”
