With TURN5Reloop HiFi is launching a quartz-controlled, direct-drive turntable that meetsthe highest sound requirements. Using our expertise we have developed a newHiFi turntable, which with its technical sophistication is the best in itsclass.
Powerful DC motor & low-resonancedie-cast platter
Thebrushless, direct-drive DC motor ensures a powerful drive at a very consistentrotation and the TURN5 has been produced using die-cast precision manufacturingtechniques. A dampening rubber base on the turntable system eliminates anyunwanted resonance and the accompanying 5 mm rubber coating also protects againstvibrations so that nothing stands in the way of the exceptional soundreproduction.
High-quality control elements &connections
The threemotor speeds can be selected with convenient controls on the top to 33 1/3, 45or 78 rpm. This means the TURN5 can also play back old shellac records with acorresponding mono-system (not included). Next to this is the large start/stopknob. The universal locking mechanism (SME) on the tonearm allows for a quickand easy headshell exchange. Also, with the supplied counterweight a wholerange of cartridges can be used as this also supports heavier pick-ups. On therear panel of the TURN5 is a gold-plated phono output pair (RCA) with aseparate earth connection to prevent any potential interference. The terminalfor all cable connections has been recessed to protect them as much aspossible. For a simple exchange, the power cable and the RCA cable can beremoved.
Static balanced S-tone arm & Hi-techOrtofon cartridge system
The TURN5uses a statically balanced S-shape tone arm. This is supplied, along with thehydraulic lift and an anti-skating setting, with a convenient tone arm heightadjustment with locking VTA. This guarantees optimum performance of the cartridgeand an accurate reproduction of the recording medium. The supplied Ortofon 2MRed cartridge is already pre-mounted on a headshell and stands out thanks toits elliptical cut with phenomenal sound quality.
Elegant design in a particularly heavy-dutyconstruction
The housingis built on a heavy-duty metal construction with shock-absorbing feet in orderto isolate unwanted vibrations as much as possible and reduce ambient noise.The combination of several materials provides additional stiffness to the housing.With its deep black piano finish, visually the TURN5 is elegant and timeless.The gold-plated turntable hovers harmoniously above the cover plate and focusesthe view on the important thing – the record.
