Shawnee Press A Kyrie for Our Time

In a time when we hope and pray so fervently for peace, “A Kyrie for Our Time” calls our attention to solvable problems that have always been present. In a world so full of beauty and wonder…Children live in poverty and hunger. In a world so full of hope for tomorrow…Children live in sickness, pain, and sorrow. Kyrie eleison. A haunting melody, melancholy flute obbligato, and a shimmering descant make this lovely prayer an appropriate reminder of what our response should be each and every day of the year.
