Shawnee Press Lizard Jazz

“Lizard Jazz” is one cool piece of music. The poem from which the text was taken won the 1992 Mary Carolyn Davies award from the Poetry Society of America as the poem most suitable to set to music. Kallman has created a masterful sound atmosphere with voices, piano, percussion, Orff instruments, and jazz improvisation. “Oh geckos!”
